Each time the blower is used, a simple test with the Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI) must be conducted.
You may follow the below steps in the given sequence:
- First, plug the GFCI plug-in to a known good wall electrical outlet; you may try several different wall outlets. DO NOT use extension cords.
- Push the "Reset" button located on the GFCI receptacle, first to assure normal blower and GFCI operation.
- Press " I " to switch on the blower.
- Push the "Test" button located on the GFCI receptacle. The blower should go "OFF".
- Push the "Reset" button again. The blower should go "ON" again.
The indicator on the GFCI receptacle will be red whenever the “Reset” button is pressed.
